Dollar-Help grants are awarded on an as-needed basis by local social-service agencies when all public funds for energy assistance have been exhausted. Grants can range as high as $700 per household under certain circumstances. In FY 2006, more than 2,200 payments were made on behalf of low-income families and older adults. The grant size per household averaged approximately $319. Grants are limited to one per household per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). If you are in need of assistance, contact one of the following agencies or e-mail communityservicesdepartment@lacledegas.com.
